The Operations Manager will lead the co-creation of the development of the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub as the Operational Safeguarding Lead. The Safeguarding Operations Manager will focus on the six key principles:

 As part of the Transformation Programme within Adult Social Care and Well-Being (ASW), there is a requirement for a dedicated Operations Manager for the Safeguarding Service - both operationally and strategically. This reflects the changing landscape of the nature of Safeguarding referrals and ensures a Triage alignment across the directorate, The postholder will be operationally responsible for the Safeguarding Team function and, additionally, the Local Authority’s Strategic and Operational Lead for Safeguarding.

There will be the opportunity to help shape and build your own team and really make the role your own, taking staff with you on the exciting journey ahead.  A collaborative leader, you’ll also work closely with the rest of our Senior Leadership Team, wider Council, Members, and key partners across the NHS, the private sector and the police to influence across the system.  We are committed on our focus on improving outcomes for our residents and we are truly approaching this as a whole system.

We are seeking a social work qualified Operational Manager who will be pivotal within our Safeguarding Service and will be supported accordingly. The ideal candidate will need real passion, appropriate experience, and strong knowledge of the arrangements for safeguarding adults. The post holder should have the confidence and credibility to work with multiple stakeholders, building strong partnerships to meet the needs and expectations of a diverse borough.
