We have an exciting opportunity to join the personalised long-term support team. ( PLTS)
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Worker to fulfil this role. While previous experience at a team leader level is desirable it is not essential as we are seeking candidates, who are passionate about their career development and moving into management.
The Opportunity - The post will be supporting the working with adults aged 65 and over.
The PLTS pods are dedicated to strengths-based practice and using Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) to support the most vulnerable of older people. Workers are encouraged to form community links and understand the area they serve which is full of creative, humanitarian initiatives. Social work values are at the heart of the team and our practice, there is a collective narrative to support social justice.
The PLTS pods has a consistent staff team and harbours a supportive ethos, with a keen focus on staff well-being and reflective practice. We have dedicated time for practice development and reflective pods, as well as regular quality supervision.
The person - A qualified and registered social worker, you’ll have well-developed professional skills and will be ready to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams of social workers, service co-ordinators and reviewing officers. The ability to handle complex, high-risk cases effectively, safely, and decisively is critical. You’ll also have the skills to coach, motivate and develop others and bring about measurable improvements in performance.
As we strive to encourage a supportive learning culture, we welcome students, apprentices, ASYE’S and support all staff members to undertake the progression pathway. The Team Leader role will play a large part in supporting staff individually and as a team to grow and develop in their careers to provide a quality service for the people of Calderdale and Social Work England CPD.
